Outstanding Accounting Educator Award

Nominate your favorite, influential Accounting Educator

CalCPA's Accounting Education Committee accepts nominations annually for the Outstanding Accounting Educator Award.

Award Criteria
The Outstanding Accounting Educator Award recognizes contributions to accounting education from demonstrated excellence in teaching and/or endeavors in research over a sustained period of time through:

  • Excellence in teaching and mentoring, as evidenced by receiving various awards or citations;
  • Educational innovation, including developing curriculum, case studies and new programs;
  • Published articles in professorial or academic journals and/or written textbooks for use in accounting classes;
  • Significant involvement in professional and/or academic societies and related activities.

A nominee need not excel in every one of these general criteria to merit consideration for the award but may have demonstrated strengths in one or a few of these areas. Any faculty, administrator, practitioner - any individual or organization - may make a nomination. Nominees should be a member of CalCPA and if not, a membership will be offered to them. The winner(s) will be announced in CalCPA's magazine, California CPA, and presented with a plaque and cash award of $1,000 at the Annual Council Meeting in July.

Nominations for the 2022 Outstanding Educator Award Nominations are now closed.
